American Experience, the corporate owner of the Orlando Russian Culture Society has made an agreement for rebroadcasting WebMirTV on the Society’s website. The Society was part of a recent story about Russians in Orlando and how the group has been an influence in building an open community for Russian speakers in Orlando.
The WebMirTV broadcasts are updated weekly and can be seen on OrlandoRussians.com and multiple sites and TV stations around the world, including Canada and Russia.
Russia will remember those perished during the 1941-1945 Great Patriotic War by observing a minute of silence on Victory Day traditionally celebrated in the former Soviet Union on May 9.
All television channels and radio stations will interrupt their broadcasts at 18:55 Moscow time (1455 GMT) in memory of the victims of that war. A minute of science will begin after the chime of the Kremlin tower clock.
A minute of silence has been observed in the former Soviet Union and then in Russia and broadcast by radio and television on May 9 since 1965.

This will be a great event for all, we will be meeting at Moss Park to celebrate Easter and enjoy each others company! The plan is to have a Shashlik style cookout at the beach side pavilion (Number 3).
What to Bring: A side dish large enough to share with others, your choice of Shashlik or whatever you wish to grill.
What to expect: Plan on relaxing, this is going to be a great event! You may want to bring fold up chairs in case it gets a bit crowded inside the Pavilion. If we have a lot of small children attending (please let us know in your RSVP) we can have an Easter Egg Hunt for the kids.
Plates, Cups, Soda, Utensils, Napkins and charcoal for the grills, will be provided.
