The Orlando Russian Society launched a fan page on facebook, the popular social media website, on Tuesday September 30, 2009. The page will feature event photos, links to services and information about the society. The launch is part of the Society’s 5 year anniversary project, which included a Russian style picnic at Turkey Lake Park [...]

The 5th Anniversary picnic was a big success and a great tribute to what has made our group last over the past 5 years. Great friends, conversation, food smiles and a warm spirit. We had some challenges with the occasional rain during the day but everyone huddled under our shelter until it passed.

Getting ready for a “shashlik” with the Russian Culture Society in Orlando. The weather is perfect!!!!

Make plans now to attend the upcoming picnic in the park on Sunday, September 27, 2009 at 11:00am.

This will be a potluck, so each person should bring their favorite side dish to share with others and of course-whichever Shashlik you like to cook on the grill.

The Society will provide Plates, Cups, Utensils, Ice, Soda and Charcoal for the grills. Please remember to bring grill utensils if you plan on grilling.
